Wireless for Ladies, 1922
World's First Mobile Phone (1922). Found by a researcher in the Pathe vaults. We'll just leave it at that, and wish more such reels could be "found".

The world-famous French group of artists "La Machine" installed this steampunk sculpture masterpiece in Dessau, Germany. Appropriately mysterious in the fog, this beautiful machine seems almost ready to launch.

Futuristic Rocket Spotted in Vancouver
"Centennial Rocket", a truly beautiful sculpture, designed in the Golden Age of Science Fiction Flash Gordon style, belongs to Vancouver Transportation Club (more info):

"The design was originally created in 1936... by Lew Parry, built by Neon Products at the first Vancouver Air Terminal from 1939 to 1972 when it was scrapped because of rust. In 1985 the Vancouver Transportation Club and the Sheet Metal Workers Union 280 decided to build a replica to celebrate Vancouver's 100th birthday. They located Lew Parry and he still had the original plans... The Rocket was exhibited at Expo 86 and then donated to the city. A Centennial Time Capsule is housed in the base of the rocket, scheduled to be opened 50 years from 1986." source

The Leaning Church
This is Suurhusen Church in East Frisia, Germany - more info. Even if structure is leaning, the faith is still strong.

Glorious Backsides of Retro Photographs
This is quite unexpected find: some vintage photographs conceal even more gorgeous art on their back! These elaborate graphics and wonderful Art Nouveau-styled type masterpieces are advertisements for photography studios of St. Petersburg and other cities in Russia; but we have a hunch that similar graphics appeared on the backs of photos in other countries, as well.
